The statue in the back is for two Finnish composers: Toivo Kuula and Heikki Klemetti. Both born near Seinäjoki. Toivo Kuula lived from 1883 to 1918 and Heikki Klemetti from 1876 - 1953.
The gardeners of Seinäjoki have planted a heart in front of it. I quess it represents one of the slogans used in marketing of Seinäjoki "Hearty Seinäjoki"
I remember reading a list somewhere with the worst marketing slogans used in Sweden. Any reason Seinäjoky is "hartier" than the rest of the cities?
ReplyDeleteI love those flowers.
ReplyDeleteSteffe: Now that I did some studying about the "Heartly Seinäjoki", It's the name of an association that tries to promote the center of Seinäjoki. The members are mainly companies of the center. So I believe the slogan relates to good and friendly service of those companies.
