My name is Jyri. I'm a Finnish amateur photographer, having had photography as a hobby for some15 years now. Some of the years have been more active and some not so active. This blog was born to activate the hobby again.
The concept is originally "City Daily Photo Blog", so I don't know how it fits Seinäjoki. After consolidating with some neighbouring municipalities Seinäjoki is now the home of about 57 000 people. So Seinäjoki is not London, Paris or even Helsinki in matter of population or size. Still, in Finland Seinäjoki is referred as a "City".
This blog will have photoes of Seinäjoki and it's surroundings. As the center of Seinäjoki has been built largely in the 60's and 70's, it has been mentioned to be one of the "not so pretty" cities in Finland. I will try to prove that wrong and try to capture the prettier side of it.
The area where Seinäjoki is located is sometimes referenced as "Lakeus", "Flat land". You may see some photos of surrounding areas too as "day trips from Seinäjoki".
This blog is documentary, so if the weather is gray so are the photos. I will try to keep photo manipulation to a minimum. You can find manipulated photos in my HDR blog.
