Snow in the making

Finally the air is cold enough. The snow cannons are making snow for the local ski slopes. Hope they can open in the folowing days.

The landscape changed rapidly. Everything looks very winterly.

The first snow

The weatherman was right. Now we have some snow. It snowed all night. People with summer tires had some problems this morning.

Sunny days of march

Another winter image from the lake. Officially march is a spring month, but the only sing of spring so far is the sunshine.

It was a foggy day when I took this. Well this is how the winter looks here.

Downhill

The downhill skiing has also started. This is not the alps, or even a mountain in Lapland. It's the small "Joupiska" hill of Seinäjoki. For the local skiing hobbyists it serves its purpose perfectly.

Winter sports

It took a while for us to get the winter season started as should....because of the missing snow.Now we have snow and people have started cross-country skiing.
