When you look at this building, does it seem to be in the middle of the street?

When i posted this photo two and a half weeks ago, I promised to post regularly from the same spot. Today I remembered the promise and took another photo. The work seems to make progress. Too bad I had to shoot against the already setting sun, so the lighting is not very good.

Time for some more street construction

This is Kalevankatu, "Kaleva street". The street is going to be reconstructed to be a pedestrian oriented street. This work has already began earlier in another section of the street and now it's time to continue. It will probably look something like this. I'll try to post a photo regularly from this same spot, so we can see how it progresses.

The christmas lights. Nothing so grandiose here. ...no snow yet.

Something goin on

Some construction work started on this street last week. They are going to make it "pedestrian oriented", meaning just a narrow lane for cars and wide walkways.

Pikku Paussi

A street view again. On the right you can see the oldest and finest (in my taste) cafe in Seinäjoki. It's called "Pikku Paussi", "Little Pause"

Just another view from the city. This is taken near the railway and bus stations.

A modern view

Here you can see some of the most recent buildings in Seinäjoki. All built in few years. The steert is called Alvar Aallon katu (Steert of Alvar Aalto). The foremost buildings are all bureaus. As you can see the tree has no leaves yet. The spring is just gettin started.
